Week of Sept 7th 2009

K.M.--This is the information about the son of our friends in Fredericksburg who died on Wednesday. It's just truly heartbreaking beyond words. Brad was a high school friend of Robert's and also was his roomate at UT. Please continue to pray for this family who is facing this unbelievable tragedy. Robert and I will be attending the visitation and funeral tomorrow. Also, hug your family members and remember how precious life is.

Brad and Sheryl Kott's 13 year old son, Quinn passed away yesterday at 11:30 a.m. in San Antonio. He had a massive stroke on Monday caused by a blood clot at the base of his brain. Apparently, he was complaining of tingling and numbness on his left side before he had the stroke as well as a horrible headache. The hospital in Fredericksburg gave him an IV for dehydration. It was not until he collapsed that he had a cat scan and they found the blot clot. He was then air lifted to San Antonio.
He was put into a drug induced coma, on a ventilator, blood thinners and had a shunt put in to relieve the swelling on his brain. An MRI was done on Tuesday but there was not any brain activity. Tuesday evening, the parents decided to remove life support.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's. Quinn went to St. Mary's.

My job is hiring again and some of my old coworkers are reapplying to get their old jobs back. Please pray for my friend R.J., Doug, and Gab, to get their jobs back. The have been through a lot. Please pray no matter what the outcome is that financially they will be ok. Thank you.--Christina H.

Dear Friends~

Please pray for my family's health. We all seem to have colds. Rafe(6) has been sick since last Thurs. And Riley(18 mos.) has had labored breathing on and off today. I am waiting to be able to give him another breathing treatment. My Vance(4) is away visiting family and is also coughing and some runny nose. My husband is on a plane to Florida and is also not feeling well. I feel pretty crummy myself and am concerned for Vance being 4 hrs. away. He sometimes needs breathing treatments and does not have his machine with him. We don't have health insurance right now. And, I am looking forward to seeing every one healthy and strong--Stacey

{Update: Thanks for all your prayers. And to Lasandra, Cole and Nick for helping with my truck!!! Riley was admitted to Dell children's last night for difficulty breathing due to the croup. He was given a steroid to open his airways and is able to breathe. Released at noon. Just waiting for us all to be healed completely. Please pray for a solid night's rest. }

Pray for Alex - just had surgery on his arm. Also, pray for Bridget who is in labor with Baby Faith--MW
