Update: Update:
The test results came back and Beth has just a regular infection. All is well. Thank you for your prayers. (Praise God!)

• N.H.--Please lift up one of my friends/co-workers daughter, Beth. Beth had surgery about a week ago and they had to take do an emergency surgery to remove everything they put in. She has an infection and they suspect it may be meningitis. If that is the case, she could really be set back in all the progress she has made so far. Beth was in an auto accident in December of 2007. She was in a coma for over a month and lived in a rehab facility for almost a year before she was able to go home. She has astounded the Dr’s and the nurses with all the progress she’s made but now this new issue could really set her back. They should get the tests results back today. Please lift Beth and her family up in your prayers for peace. Thank you.
• M.O.--My 13 yr old son Andres has been having stomach problems for the past couple of weeks. He said he felt sore like he had done alot of sit ups, but I didn't worry much about it. He was feeling tired and nauseas on saturday, but only the first part of the day. Now he has been vomiting every morning since Sunday, but only in the morning. He is nauseas the rest of the day but can get through it as long as he takes it easy. We have taken him to the doctor and they are running test but the results will not be back until monday. They have given him pepcid to help ease the stomach cramps. He also has headaches, body aches, his stomach is tender to the touch and he gets piercing pains in his lower abdomen. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors so that they quickly find what is wrong with Andres so that they can give him the medicine he needs to heal. Pray for Andres' pain and vomiting to go away so that he can begin to eat normally again. He has lost 7 lbs since sunday. The doctor thinks it could be a parasite, e-coli, salmonella, crypto or something called abdominal migraines. Thank you for your prayers.
• M.W.--Please pray for Me! I take on too much, and then i can't keep up w/it, and then i get overwhelmed and body pain sets in, and that gets nothing accomplished! Pray for God's peace and forcus for my mind (my heart is in the right place w/the right person--Jesus!). Also, keep praying for our soldiers in the middle east; pray for Zak and Amber/Couper, the families that are resituating themselves w/them....double portions of favors from God. Pray for our pastors and their families--protection of our church and God's direction for us. Pray for the ladies going to San Antonio conference--safety and discernment, and also connection with one another and deeper connection with God. Pray for our country--our leadership; that our God-given freedom of speech is not taken away.

Week of June 14th 2009

• E.G.--Just asking for a prayer request please. My surgery is scheduled for today and will be very comprehensive. My post op recovery I am told will be somewhat more than I expected. I should be out of surgery this evening. Frances will have my children for the night and will have the update. Please pray for coverage for my children and for guidance for my surgeons and anesthesiologist. Thank you for always being there when I've needed you. You are the best group of friends anyone could ask for.God Bless. Elizabeth
• M.O. --Dear Prayer Warriors: My brother's wife was diagnosed with colon cancer this past week...they found it during her Colonoscopy this past Monday...She has a doctor's visit on Tuesday to go over the CT scan and then meeting with surgeon on Thursday. Please pray that they have caught it in its early stage and can be be taken care of and removed. Pray for complete healing. Pray for my brother Johnnie and their two daughters too. Thank you.
• M.O.--Hi Everyone. Amelia is dealing with tough times again; this time it has to do with Melinah's health. Amelia had gotten a job, and Melinah was placed in a day care. It was like an answered prayer. But just a few days later, Melinah got sick, and Amelia had to stay home. When she took her to the doctor, they suspected that it may be TB. Amelia doesn't have a job any more. From Sharon's email, I now know that she does have TB. The doctors are just trying to find out what type.We need to help Amelia. She need our prayers, but she also needspeople to call her and help her financially for things like gas and food expenses. Please think about what you can do for Amelia. It might take a small (or big) sacrifice, but it matters greatly. God bless you, Alma

  Heather just called me. Amelia brought her daughter, Melinah, into Pediatric Junction, where Heather is a nurse, and she is being admitted to Dell Children Hospital in Room 336. She will be there for 3 days. They will be doing drug therapy on Melinah to find out what type of Tuberculosis she has.
