Week of Sept 28th 2009

  • K.W.--We got a message this morning on the recorder asking for prayer for Mark & Marcy in the loss of their infant baby who was stillborn. This is the son & daughter-in-law of Mike & Pat from our church.
  • N.B.--The Rowe family are family friends from where I grew up and my dad sent me the following today, asking if we could put them on our prayer list: Here is his email: We desperately need prayers for the daughter of Ricky Rowe She is 29 with a 7 month old daughter. She has a level 4 tumor in her brain that has already spread to her lymph nodes. Her name is STEPHANIE.
  • M.W.--Please pray for Lora. She is having surgery on her eyelids tomorrow morning.
  • M.R.--Please pray for my aunt ginger. She has been in icu w/pneumonia for a week. Mom just called and left a message on my phone saying she spoke with Uncle Cecil and the doctors told him there was not much else they could do. Things didn't look well. She asked me to let you all know and for you to be praying.
  • M.W.-- Please pray for the Patton family--for God's comfort and peace, as M.R.'s aunt Ginger died this evening.
  • V.P.--Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you all an update on the Wildschuetz family. First, THANK YOU for all of the prayers and outpouring of support for this awesome family. Bridget and Mike and have been completely overwhelmed by the encouragement received from everyone in their church family. She wants to be able to thank each and every one of you personally at some point!! There is currently $642 in the benefit account set up for Super Baby Faith. I spoke with Bridget's mom this morning and they've been hit with some set backs. They now think that Super Baby Faith may be deaf. Also, Bridget suffered some complications from delivery and had to have surgery yesterday. Apparently, the placenta was not completely removed when she gave birth. She is doing better now. but is still very weak. Bridget's mom was supposed to leave tomorrow but is now going to stay longer to assist Bridget and Mike due to these recent set backs. The last few days have been extremely tough on them as you can imagine. The oxygen situation appears to be the same which means they still can't figure out why she's having trouble getting enough oxygen on her own. None of the treatments seem to be working. They have added rice cereal to her diet because they think she may have aspirated milk. Please continue to pray for this family. They really need some good news at this point. Be sure to check www.superbabyfaith.com often as we are constantly updating and changing the website! Blessings.

Week of Sept 7th 2009

K.M.--This is the information about the son of our friends in Fredericksburg who died on Wednesday. It's just truly heartbreaking beyond words. Brad was a high school friend of Robert's and also was his roomate at UT. Please continue to pray for this family who is facing this unbelievable tragedy. Robert and I will be attending the visitation and funeral tomorrow. Also, hug your family members and remember how precious life is.

Brad and Sheryl Kott's 13 year old son, Quinn passed away yesterday at 11:30 a.m. in San Antonio. He had a massive stroke on Monday caused by a blood clot at the base of his brain. Apparently, he was complaining of tingling and numbness on his left side before he had the stroke as well as a horrible headache. The hospital in Fredericksburg gave him an IV for dehydration. It was not until he collapsed that he had a cat scan and they found the blot clot. He was then air lifted to San Antonio.
He was put into a drug induced coma, on a ventilator, blood thinners and had a shunt put in to relieve the swelling on his brain. An MRI was done on Tuesday but there was not any brain activity. Tuesday evening, the parents decided to remove life support.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's. Quinn went to St. Mary's.

My job is hiring again and some of my old coworkers are reapplying to get their old jobs back. Please pray for my friend R.J., Doug, and Gab, to get their jobs back. The have been through a lot. Please pray no matter what the outcome is that financially they will be ok. Thank you.--Christina H.

Dear Friends~

Please pray for my family's health. We all seem to have colds. Rafe(6) has been sick since last Thurs. And Riley(18 mos.) has had labored breathing on and off today. I am waiting to be able to give him another breathing treatment. My Vance(4) is away visiting family and is also coughing and some runny nose. My husband is on a plane to Florida and is also not feeling well. I feel pretty crummy myself and am concerned for Vance being 4 hrs. away. He sometimes needs breathing treatments and does not have his machine with him. We don't have health insurance right now. And, I am looking forward to seeing every one healthy and strong--Stacey

{Update: Thanks for all your prayers. And to Lasandra, Cole and Nick for helping with my truck!!! Riley was admitted to Dell children's last night for difficulty breathing due to the croup. He was given a steroid to open his airways and is able to breathe. Released at noon. Just waiting for us all to be healed completely. Please pray for a solid night's rest. }

Pray for Alex - just had surgery on his arm. Also, pray for Bridget who is in labor with Baby Faith--MW

Mid-Late Week prayer requests:

K.M.--
Please pray for the children and parents involved in this. ....Brianna, 11, was one of five children ranging in age from eight to 13 riding in the back of a pickup truck, according to the Lower Colorado River Authority Police. The accident happened at about 12:45 a.m., Jan. 19 at the Grelle Recreation Area in Burnet County on the south side of Lake Travis. Police said there was also a child riding in the cab of the 2001 Ford F150.It is a very hard time for all involved. Pray that I will know what to say and how to help. Because I have Parker I have been in the middle of some things. Keep the person whose fault it is also in prayer. Keep this girl's mom & Parker Christine in your prayers.

C&J.W.--
One of our good friends is having a double mastectomy Monday morning in New Mexico. We have been asked to "pray her through" beginning 11:00 am our time . We are asking that our TCC prayer warriors join us as we pray for complete healing for Cece, and peace for her family.

M.W.--Just asking to keep Esperanza, or "Turi" (my cousin, who was in remission) in prayer. She’s supposed to be having a new procedure done on Monday, Jan 26th. It has something to do with inserting a device to the liver and attacking the cancer. She has 50% cancer on the left side of the liver and 20% on the right.

J.M.--(this is a request from a former co-worker of mine...m.w.) Please keep Kerry in your prayers. she had a severe asthma attack about noon at our office. Kerry has no family here except her 3 young boys. All of her family is in Colorado. She was sedated for the transport to an Austin Hospital with a tracheotomy respirator, oxygen, etc. from the Smithville Hospital after her lungs collapsed and she was "bleeding out" of her lungs. Two weeks ago she was hospitalized for a week due to pneumonia/ bronchitis/ lung infection.

September 23rd, 2008

  • Maria O.--Our son Andres will be going in today for an upper GI test to see why he has been vomiting for the past three weeks. Please pray that everything is ok and it is just a nervous stomach that can be helped through counseling and pray for complete healing. Thank you.

  • Vanessa P. --I have a prayer request that I need your help with. Jeanette R's best friend, Brandy, is dealing with the potential loss of her husband. Joey was involved in a plant explosion last night at the ship channel in Houston and suffered burns on over 90% of his body. The doctors told Brandy that he has a 5-10% chance of survival. Please get the word out about this family needing prayers. Brandy and Joey have three young boys and she is a stay-at-home mom. This is the family that Jeanette lived with when she first moved back to Houston and Brandy is her partner in the bow business she runs. Joey is obviously not doing well and Brandy is a mess. Please pray and ask others to pray.

  • Maggie W.--Please pray for our friend Pat's mom. She has Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, subcategory Diffuse B-Cell Lymphoma. The doctor said that is an aggressive, fast-growing type that, as itʼs name implies, is spread throughout the body. At this point, she's saying no to the chemo, because the told her it would be extremely debilitating (nausea and such) and she'd get mouth sores from the drugs, making it hard for her to eat.

  • Krista--Just wanted to let you know that Eddie is still in the hospital tonight. His bloodwork has shown that he had a small heart attack on Sunday morning and they are doing a heart catheterization tomorrow morning (Tuesday) to try to determine the cause. If they determine that he has a blockage and needs any procedure such as a stent, they'll transfer him tomorrow to the Heart Hospital in Austin. He's doing fine, just a little weak, partially because of all the meds and blood thinners they keep giving him. Everything is cool here, though.

    Love you all.

  • Cookie & Joe W.--Our great-nephew, Markum W. (11 months) has been hospitalized in Jackson, MS. He is having trouble breathing. They have ruled out allergies. Please keep him, his parents and the rest of his family lifted up in prayer .

They are trying to figure out what meds he can take at home without having to have an IV.

We so appreciate all the prayers . . . they are being felt.
