H.G.--Prepray and then pray for Heather's mom, who is going in for gallbladder surgery on Thursday.
C.W.--Would you please put RRJ on our prayer list? I was just on the phone with him for over an hour . . . we went to high school together and he is just very confused at this point in his life.
J.C.--Please join me and my family in prayer for my friends family in this time of sorrow. We are all mourning the lost of our oldest and dearest family friend Lillian Arroyo Fonceca who passed away yesterday she was only 55 years old; she leaves behind a 23 year old daughter a 16 year old son and twin boys who are l4 years old. She suffered three consecutive heart attacks on Christmas Morning and the last one was too much for her poor little body. We are all grieving for her family. My friend Lillian was a Born again Christian with a very sickly body. She will be missed everyone that knew her couldn't help but love her she was a very giving person with such kind and generous heart. She is at peace now for that we are grateful.
M.H.--That the plumbing in the new church is installed on time and I get more help!
E.W.--Please pray for my grandfather who recently passed. Pray that he made it home with Jesus Christ and that he will have mercy on him.

MW--PTL...my son made it safely to SA today. Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement. Praise God for how he is moving in the lives of TCC'ers.
D.D.--Pray for Tracy, who is having heart surgery tomorrow. She was a first-timer to our church and accepted Christ's salvation. Pray for that relationship to continue during this difficult time of surgery and recuperation, and also for her to be able to return to TCC.
J.C.--

My friend Gretchen's daughter Jordan Gristina is in Westchester Medical Center in New York suffering from an mysterious infectious colon infection. Is so bad that they had to Isolate her. Jordan is a specials needs young lady who truly loves the Lord. Please also pray for her mother and father Joe and Gretchen they have suffered so much this past year; with personal family crisis and lost of love ones.

I have a praise to share as well. I talked to my doctor yesterday & got the results of my recent bloodwork from my recent annual checkup on my pituitary tumor removal and all the bloodwork looked good. Praise the Lord!

M.W.--update: my son called me last night and told me he is turning himself in today for unpaid tickets he has. While I know this is another "praying situation," I am so at peace that he is doing what is right. God is producing some growth here.

K.W.--
Please pray for Bryan & Jaime. Jaime is 7 months pregnant & having contractions. At hospital now.
K.M.--Well folks here we go again. Please pray that I (Karen) would find a job where the people are gainfully employed and have a family that is walking with God. My cousin Raymond G. was just taken to the hospital as I just received the call a few minutes ago he suffered a heart attack he is only 51 years old please pray with my family in this time of need. We have had five heart attacks this year in my family and three family members have died.
Thank you for your prayers.

C.H.--Please keep my family in your prayers, my husband lost his job today, and we are trying to stay strong in our faith. Please lift us up.

MW--Please lift up my son in prayer for God's hedge of protection and wisdom; he is supposed to be traveling to S.Antonio today from Panama City on his motorcycle.

A.M.--Pray for our stepdad-isn't doing good. His lungs are 50-50% risk-Pray!

S.F.--To Laurelyn: beginning her 28th year of life, beauty & love! Thanx to the Lord for people like her. I love her.

Week of Nov 29th 09

J.C.--Al just got home with Christina from the Doctors office she just has a very bad asthma. We thought it was something worse. Thankfully she could go back to school soon. They gave her lots of medication to take. She was just on a series of prednisone so they had to find something else. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. There is something in the air that is causing her to have difficulty breathing. We have not rested she has kept us up with worry. I'm hoping that this new medication could give her some relieve.
N.B.--1. My mom is having an echo-cardiogram Friday afternoon to see if there might be something with her heart that is causing her blood pressure to be so erratic.
2. I have my annual appointment/check-up Friday afternoon for a pituitary tumor I had removed a few years ago and would appreciate everyone's prayers that everything goes smooth and checks out ok.

Week of Nov. 1st 2009

C.W.--My sister's friend and next door neighbor has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo a double mastectomy in a couple of months. She is having chemo now on her lymph glands to stop further spread. Her name is Betsy - we appreciate your prayers.
Dear Friends:I need to let you know that Caroline died late last night after a long fight with cancer. She was able to spend the last month with us at home and only last week transferred back to Hospice Austin's remarkable inpatient facility, Christopher House, where she felt very comfortable thanks to the fantastic staff (and medicine). Caroline's last cancer recurrence was in October of last year; we found out about it on the same day we accepted a contract to sell our long-time home in Northwest Austin. At first, I thought we should stay put and not move because the future was uncertain, but Caroline loved the new house so much that I realized we needed to get into it quickly before she restarted chemo and began to feel worse, so that she could enjoy it as long as possible. The view of the new back yard (and her hummingbird feeder) from bed has been some of her best therapy ever since. The kids and I hope you'll come see us here when you can. Caroline was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in October 2004 and since then endured a brutal series of 25 surgeries, dozens of hospital stays, 30 delightful radiation treatments, and lots of chemotherapy. She is unfortunately better known at our hospital's emergency room than in our new neighborhood. And she is my hero for going through all she did so that she could be with us as long as humanly possible. While the past five years included several promising test results that indicated she was cancer-free, Caroline's tumor was a particularly virulent type called signet ring cell adenocarcinoma that is prone to recurrence and rapid growth. Her last major surgery was in March, when the surgeons at MD Anderson found that the tumor had spread to the bone and was therefore incurable. She was then well enough to endure two rounds of chemo in May but had to stop all oncology treatment after that. Since then, we spent all of Caroline's healthy days with the kids making memories to last their lifetime, and we had a great time doing it. In August, Caroline decided to take us on the 1.5 mile hike through Natural Bridge Caverns in Comal County; she hiked the whole way in and out of the cave, which was spectacular. Her last major outings were dinner at Hudson's on the Bend for our 16th anniversary, a picnic in Wimberley with the kids, a trip to San Antonio with the family, a front row seat at the circus with the whole family (which she loved and raved about for days), a day at the Lake Austin Spa with her mother, a trip to the theatre to see her favorite musical Wicked for the third time, and two all-expense-paid stays at Christopher House. She was not well enough for our planned July 4 vacation to Washington DC and the Greenbrier in West Virginia, and so we will take that trip in memory of her next year. Until September, she was well enough to make lots of food requests for things she wanted to eat while she could, and we succeeded in getting all of them made for her in the past two months, including at various times her Dad's chicken paprikash, my clamless clam bake, pulled pork sandwiches with wilted slaw (and Reginald's mom's barbecue sauce), lots of guacamole and limes, Jim's barbecue shrimp, Kerbey Lane buttermilk pancakes, a mushroom pizza from Whole Foods downtown, and, for her last Sunday dinner with us on September 27, a tomato salad and homemade mashed potatoes and a little asparagus casserole from my mom's recipe. Then after 17 days with no food, three Saturdays ago she woke up and demanded Haagen-Dazs vanilla swiss almond ice cream, which she insisted on feeding to herself through a pretty deep narcotic haze; it was a mess but she was happy; I had to wrestle the spoon away from her. So she remained equal parts persuasive, stubborn, and hilarious until the end. The kids are Max (age 11), Livvy (6), and Adam (10). The kids have strong counselors who have been great to them for the past several years when needed. I know that they'll continue to be helpful to us in the future. We so appreciate the kind thoughts and prayers offered on our behalf for many years and especially lately; the support of our family and friends has sustained us through difficulties we thought we could not bear. Thank you. We look forward to seeing you soon. We'll have a memorial service for Caroline, probably on November 14. I'll let you know the arrangements when they're finalized.
J.W.--I have been diagnosed this week with cervical cancer. You girls are my life long peeps and strongest supporters so I wanted y'all to know what is going on with me. I will be starting treatment in Dallas on Monday. I will have radiation 5 days a week and chemo once a week for 5-6 weeks. I am having a procedure in the morning to place a stint in my ureter in order to drain my right kidney. The mass is contained to the cervical area but is large enough to be placing pressure on this tube and causing a blockage that is making urine back up into my kidney. They want to do this procedure before radiation starts while the tissue is still healthy. The Dr's have all said this is very treatable and curable. Kim will be your go to person for all updates. I believe in the power of prayer. Please feel free to pass this on to any prayer chains/teams you are connected with. We are all pretty freaked out but are hanging in. This WILL NOT impact the birthday cruise!!!! I fully intend to be on that ship in April.--Amy (Jen's friend)

M.A.--My Popo (grandpa) is having a procedure done tomorrow to remove a blockage from his heart! He was getting a full physical before going in for knee surgery and they found the thing in his heart. The Dr's expect it to be an in and out procedure - so please pray that he fairs well during the procedure. He's 83.

J.L.-- asking for prayer for a dear friend of hers who is 7 months pregnant and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She was just admitted to the hospital for possible swine flu. Her immune system is compromised from the pregnancy & chemo treatments.

S.H.--PRAY FOR JOYCE’s SALVATION - I just found all of this out about 2 sec. ago! They may pull the plug today. 3 years ago she lost her husband and has been very depressed since then. shi stopped taking care of her diabetes and everything else. last i knew she did'nt know Jesus. She and Ron are the only ones that became like aun t and uncle to my family. We both lived far from our extended families and we spent a lot of family time together. (began more than than 25 years ago) on 10/10 , she was found passed out w. sugar over 800- in hospital since then doing better on 10/12 but same day rapidly declined feeding tube breathing tube heart issue dr discontinued dialysis found cancer in lung which began in breast tumors on back and spine did'n rec. her sister June whom she has been staying w/ since Ike took her home. She is in a very far away state none of my family will be able to go soon probably not at all pray for salvation healing would be a bonus.

M.W.--More Urgent prayer needed for my neighbor JoAn. She has been put in ICU at Seton-Williamson. They have not been able to determine what kind of "consolidated bacteria pneumonia" she has. Her right lobe is not functioning at all, her blood pressure has dropped and her sugar is out of control. She is an asthma sufferer. thank you.

M.R.--My cousin lisa survived lukemia as a kid and now has ovarian cancer, she is in surgery right now, she is an only child and has had a very tough life and pray for her parents too to be saved and not bitter towards God.

M.G.-- I got an update about Heather. She is going to come out of the rotating bed today and the Drs. are lowering her coma mediciation. She is improving!!! Praise God!! It sounds like she is going to recover. It make take weeks, but Drs. are optimistic... Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.

J.C.--My friend Stacy called to tell me that her husband Andrew's arm is in a cast due to an accident he had. Can you please put this couple in your prayer list. He is back at work doing light duty but he had a terrible ordeal during his surgery--the bone they were drilling thru broke and they had to drill on another bone. So he is really in a lot of pain. They have one child Zabrina. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Week of Oct 12th 09

M.W.--I received this from a past co-worker of mine this morning. Please keep this family in prayer. Thank you! * Would you please include Tim M in your prayers. He is 24 years old. Tim has a 'mysterious' problem/ disease/ possible tumor that Drs. are unable to detect. It is very sad that with our modern technology and medical knowledge of today, Drs. throughout the U.S.A. are unable to find the real problem. He has been in hospitals around TX & now has been at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. (Those of you that know my brother Allen, he trained there while doing his training as a Dr. & it is a great hospital.) Tim has been there almost 2 months now. His mother is coming home to Bastrop tomorrow, so I can find out more details, but I do know he had at least one surgery on 10/06. Some opinons in TX were that he may have a small tumor in his chest cavity, but no one could find it. He has been critical/ life threatening for many months now.

Tim's Daddy is in Iraq. He was recently home on leave to be with Tim before he went to John Hopkins. His Daddy is now back in Iraq. Sadly, NONE of the medical expenses are being covered by the military benefits of his father. As I said earlier, Tim's mother will be home tomorrow & I'll find out what, if any positive results were determined at John Hopkins. She has sent me short & quick emails. Not any good news, just that he had surgery & made it through. She also added that he will have many, many more months of therapy/ recovery. We can all certainly count our blessings when we know of situations like Tim's & his family. Our church assisted his mother with her flight back to Austin tomorrow, because she has exhausted LOTS of money of her own. This family certainly needs support now & will need it for a long time. Thanks for you thoughts & prayers.

* Dena was in a car accident last night by the performing arts center, she takes community college classes in the area. She had surgery this morning to put a plate in her wrist and has fracture her fingers on left hand. She is in a lot of pain and could use a lot of prayer to help her with the pain. She is at Breckenridge and we hope she is released tomorrow or Friday. Thank you. God blessed her because they had to use the jaws of life to cut out portions of her car to get her out and she has just her wrist and fingers hurt. From her mother, Lucia

"Mama" Kennedy, mother or Carrol and mother-in-law of Peggy (Kennedy), has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Carrol and Peggy are childhood friends from school and church. We've just today found each other on FB. Mrs. Kennedy will be having surgery at noon on Tuesday, in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a delightful lady and we appreciate your prayers for her and her family.

For my sister in law Maribel her mother is in Venezuela she is having emergency surgery on a Tumor that has formed in her ovary the prognosis is not good. My sister in law is flying out on Saturday the surgery is on Monday her mother's name is Carmen. She is 76 years old. Also my daughter Christina Maria has been out of school for three weeks at first it was the flu now she has a very bad injury on her left knee please join me in prayer for a quick recovery.

M.G.--Please pray for Drew - advanced lyme disease, spouse Yvonne, child Jade. Please pray for my neighbor, Heather. Healing for Heather, was just admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Pray also for spouse Darren and 2 children, peace and faith!

J.C.--for Trina's daughter, school age, diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Parents relocated to this area because of it. Please pray for peace, good employment for her father; strength for her mom. Also, for Christina - divine healing of her knee. Praise God for mercy and grace for the family with the MRI yesterday! For Alfred and his therapy, for God's healing.

C.H.--A friend of mine that I grew up with went into labor due to placenta abruption on Oct. 6. Her baby did not make it and his funeral is tommorrow. She had just had her baby shower and had everything ready for her baby. She named him Tyler. Please pray for her and her husband to have peace, and strength to get through this time Thank you.

C.H.--Recently I asked for everyone to pray for my coworkers that had been laid off from work and were reapplying for their jobs. I am very happy to say that two of my coworker have been back to work for about 3 weeks now and another will start on Oct 19th.

K.W.--We got a message this morning on the recorder asking for prayer for Mark & Marcy in the loss of their infant baby who was stillborn. This is the son & daughter-in-law of Mike & Pat from our church.
N.B.--The Rowe family are family friends from where I grew up and my dad sent me the following today, asking if we could put them on our prayer list: Here is his email: We desperately need prayers for the daughter of Ricky Rowe She is 29 with a 7 month old daughter. She has a level 4 tumor in her brain that has already spread to her lymph nodes. Her name is STEPHANIE.
M.W.--Please pray for Lora. She is having surgery on her eyelids tomorrow morning.
M.R.--Please pray for my aunt ginger. She has been in icu w/pneumonia for a week. Mom just called and left a message on my phone saying she spoke with Uncle Cecil and the doctors told him there was not much else they could do. Things didn't look well. She asked me to let you all know and for you to be praying.
M.W.-- Please pray for the Patton family--for God's comfort and peace, as M.R.'s aunt Ginger died this evening.

Bridget and Mike and have been completely overwhelmed by the encouragement received from everyone in their church family. She wants to be able to thank each and every one of you personally at some point!! There is currently $642 in the benefit account set up for Super Baby Faith. I spoke with Bridget's mom this morning and they've been hit with some set backs. They now think that Super Baby Faith may be deaf. Also, Bridget suffered some complications from delivery and had to have surgery yesterday. Apparently, the placenta was not completely removed when she gave birth. She is doing better now. but is still very weak. Bridget's mom was supposed to leave tomorrow but is now going to stay longer to assist Bridget and Mike due to these recent set backs. The last few days have been extremely tough on them as you can imagine. The oxygen situation appears to be the same which means they still can't figure out why she's having trouble getting enough oxygen on her own. None of the treatments seem to be working. They have added rice cereal to her diet because they think she may have aspirated milk. Please continue to pray for this family. They really need some good news at this point.
