• M.A.--My Popo (grandpa) is having a procedure done tomorrow to remove a blockage from his heart! He was getting a full physical before going in for knee surgery and they found the thing in his heart. The Dr's expect it to be an in and out procedure - so please pray that he fairs well during the procedure. He's 83.

• N.McG.--I relapsed this week. I feel so sad and disapppointed. I ask for forgiveness for the pain & disappointments I caused. I pray to pick myself up and continue my sobriety with God!
• M.W.--Pray for Heather-pneumonia-in a coma, has very young children & spouse. Pray for God's favor for homeowners whose houses are being saturated by the springs springing up in Kyle, for solutions to be offered. PRAISE! Since a leaking water line was found and replaced, the yards are drying up for now! Pray for my friend whose spouse walked out on their marriage; pray for both of them!! Also, PRAISE GOD for answered prayer. We prayed for my cousin who is due to deliver their4th child early December and her husband was due to go to Iraq in late Nov. This is what she wrote: the Commander is well aware of our situation, and he will be doing what he can to make sure Gabriel is here with me, especially with all the risks!!! Pray for my neighbor JoAn, who is being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.

• J.L.-- asking for prayer for a dear friend of hers who is 7 months pregnant and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She was just admitted to the hospital for possible swine flu. Her immune system is compromised from the pregnancy & chemo treatments.

  C.H.--Please pray for my Dad, he hurt his back at work today and can barely walk, he is in a lot of pain. Please lift him up. S.H.--PRAY FOR JOYCE’s SALVATION - I just found all of this out about 2 sec. ago! They may pull the plug today. 3 years ago she lost her husband and has been very depressed since then. shi stopped taking care of her diabetes and everything else. last i knew she did'nt know Jesus. She and Ron are the only ones that became like aun t and uncle to my family. We both lived far from our extended families and we spent a lot of family time together. (began more than than 25 years ago) on 10/10 , she was found passed out w. sugar over 800- in hospital since then doing better on 10/12 but same day rapidly declined feeding tube breathing tube heart issue dr discontinued dialysis found cancer in lung which began in breast tumors on back and spine did'n rec. her sister June whom she has been staying w/ since Ike took her home. She is in a very far away state none of my family will be able to go soon probably not at all pray for salvation healing would be a bonus. M.W.--More Urgent prayer needed for my neighbor JoAn. She has been put in ICU at Seton-Williamson. They have not been able to determine what kind of "consolidated bacteria pneumonia" she has. Her right lobe is not functioning at all, her blood pressure has dropped and her sugar is out of control. She is an asthma sufferer. thank you. M.R.--My cousin lisa survived lukemia as a kid and now has ovarian cancer, she is in surgery right now, she is an only child and has had a very tough life and pray for her parents too to be saved and not bitter towards God. M.G.-- I got an update about Heather. She is going to come out of the rotating bed today and the Drs. are lowering her coma mediciation. She is improving!!! Praise God!! It sounds like she is going to recover. It make take weeks, but Drs. are optimistic... Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. J.C.--My friend Stacy called to tell me that her husband Andrew's arm is in a cast due to an accident he had. Can you please put this couple in your prayer list. He is back at work doing light duty but he had a terrible ordeal during his surgery--the bone they were drilling thru broke and they had to drill on another bone. So he is really in a lot of pain. They have one child Zabrina. Please keep this family in your prayers. C.W.--Pray for Kinley...10 mos old. Was hospitalized with complications from swine flu (Cookie & Joe's great-niece).

Week of Oct 12th 09

M.W.--I received this from a past co-worker of mine this morning. Please keep this family in prayer. Thank you! * Would you please include Tim M in your prayers. He is 24 years old. Tim has a 'mysterious' problem/ disease/ possible tumor that Drs. are unable to detect. It is very sad that with our modern technology and medical knowledge of today, Drs. throughout the U.S.A. are unable to find the real problem. He has been in hospitals around TX & now has been at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. (Those of you that know my brother Allen, he trained there while doing his training as a Dr. & it is a great hospital.) Tim has been there almost 2 months now. His mother is coming home to Bastrop tomorrow, so I can find out more details, but I do know he had at least one surgery on 10/06. Some opinons in TX were that he may have a small tumor in his chest cavity, but no one could find it. He has been critical/ life threatening for many months now.

Tim's Daddy is in Iraq. He was recently home on leave to be with Tim before he went to John Hopkins. His Daddy is now back in Iraq. Sadly, NONE of the medical expenses are being covered by the military benefits of his father. As I said earlier, Tim's mother will be home tomorrow & I'll find out what, if any positive results were determined at John Hopkins. She has sent me short & quick emails. Not any good news, just that he had surgery & made it through. She also added that he will have many, many more months of therapy/ recovery. We can all certainly count our blessings when we know of situations like Tim's & his family. Our church assisted his mother with her flight back to Austin tomorrow, because she has exhausted LOTS of money of her own. This family certainly needs support now & will need it for a long time. Thanks for you thoughts & prayers.

* Dena was in a car accident last night by the performing arts center, she takes community college classes in the area. She had surgery this morning to put a plate in her wrist and has fracture her fingers on left hand. She is in a lot of pain and could use a lot of prayer to help her with the pain. She is at Breckenridge and we hope she is released tomorrow or Friday. Thank you. God blessed her because they had to use the jaws of life to cut out portions of her car to get her out and she has just her wrist and fingers hurt. From her mother, Lucia

  "Mama" Kennedy, mother or Carrol and mother-in-law of Peggy (Kennedy), has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Carrol and Peggy are childhood friends from school and church. We've just today found each other on FB. Mrs. Kennedy will be having surgery at noon on Tuesday, in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a delightful lady and we appreciate your prayers for her and her family.

  For my sister in law Maribel her mother is in Venezuela she is having emergency surgery on a Tumor that has formed in her ovary the prognosis is not good. My sister in law is flying out on Saturday the surgery is on Monday her mother's name is Carmen. She is 76 years old. Also my daughter Christina Maria has been out of school for three weeks at first it was the flu now she has a very bad injury on her left knee please join me in prayer for a quick recovery. M.G.--Please pray for Drew - advanced lyme disease, spouse Yvonne, child Jade. Please pray for my neighbor, Heather. Healing for Heather, was just admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Pray also for spouse Darren and 2 children, peace and faith! J.C.--for Trina's daughter, school age, diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Parents relocated to this area because of it. Please pray for peace, good employment for her father; strength for her mom. Also, for Christina - divine healing of her knee. Praise God for mercy and grace for the family with the MRI yesterday! For Alfred and his therapy, for God's healing. C.H.--A friend of mine that I grew up with went into labor due to placenta abruption on Oct. 6. Her baby did not make it and his funeral is tommorrow. She had just had her baby shower and had everything ready for her baby. She named him Tyler. Please pray for her and her husband to have peace, and strength to get through this time Thank you. C.H.--Recently I asked for everyone to pray for my coworkers that had been laid off from work and were reapplying for their jobs. I am very happy to say that two of my coworker have been back to work for about 3 weeks now and another will start on Oct 19th.

• Hi, Everyone! Let's praise God this morning first thing, rejoice in His Love so that we may have a blessed week! Pray for all the children, even the unborn, and our fighting men and women in the military. Pray for God's direction for our leaders when they meet to make decisions for our church. Pray for the leaders of our country as they too make life choices for us, that they may seek God's intervention, God's wisdom. Pray for all those who are asking for answers.
